Commentary: What Makes The Homecoming Parade Great
From its early days in which a cow was elected Homecoming queen to 2012′s thrashing of Big Ten newbie Nebraska under the lights, Homecoming has always been a great tradition at Ohio State. But no Homecoming event is more anticipated each year than the Homecoming parade. Here’s everything that made this year’s procession great.
The confused-elderly-woman-in-a-2011-Ford-Escape float.
Lots of positive energy.
Funeral procession that kinda got stuck in there somehow (wasn’t very entertaining, to be completely honest).
Sweet cop car with shiny lights.
Fairly decent band if you ask us.
The remains of Christopher Columbus, reanimated with above-average animatronics for our enjoyment.
All kinds of neat stuff.
Horses or whatever. Could be large mules.
Aaron Craft mobile kissing booth.
Natty Light float (just University Village residents puking out of their bus windows but still pretty cool).
Last year’s homecoming king and queen riding out their last days of glory in a borrowed sports car.
Plenty of entertainment for all ages.
Burning Kirk Ferentz effigy.
That guy taking pictures of a parade, like how bad must his life be.
Just some people hangin’ out in the back of a truck.
Not raining at least.
