PAD Celebrates Successful Delivery Of First Pizza
COLUMBUS, OH – Calling it a milestone for the restaurant, campus area pizza and delivery place PAD celebrated the delivery of its very first pizza Tuesday evening.
“It’s awesome to be the guy who delivered [PAD's] first pizza ever,” said PAD driver and OSU student Carl Reynolds. “But this was a long time coming. Lots of hard work by everyone.”
While PAD, which stands for “Pizza And Delivery,” has been an on-campus staple for several years, today marked the first time an order was both filled correctly and delivered to the correct location or at all.
“Of course it feels great to deliver our first pizza,” said PAD operating manager Deric Frisbie. “I felt bad working my staff an extra six hours to get it done, but it was worth it,” added Frisbie with a proud grin. “This is the first time we’ve done this right, so I’m going to enjoy the moment.”
According to student Carley Fulton, who ordered the pizza, the order never arrived and she never received a phone call.
